What’s Coming in 2020?

Can you believe it’s 2020? I still can’t! We had a very busy and productive 2019 and are so excited for what’s to come this year. Today, we highlight what’s already planned and our overall goals for Workr Beeing this year.

2020 Events

As many of you already know, we are so excited to be participating in more events and starting to host events this year! We have always participated in numerous academic and professional conferences throughout our careers and we want to continue presenting in those. However, we want to get our message out more broadly. Our mission is to bring good workplace wellness research to everyone. Thus, staying in our sphere obviously doesn’t make sense as a long term strategy.

Last year, we did a couple of speaking engagements in different types of arenas than normal, including the Millennial Summit in Delaware. In 2020, we are trying to get involved in more diverse speaking engagements and are excited to have a few already scheduled! We are doing speaking engagements for businesses internally and participating in various summits and events.

First one up, is the Momtra Summit! We are presenting on work-life balance on Day 4 of the Summit (January 24, 2020). We are so excited! The summit is a great event for mom’s looking to get past mom guilt and reclaim self-care. We are honored to be a part of it. If you want to hear our research-based work-life balance advice, go register today!

Conferences and other speaking engagements are on our agenda to spread the workplace wellness word!

Meet-Ups

In 2020, we want to meet as many of you as possible! Whenever Katina and I are together, we will host a meet-up in whatever city we are in. We want to network, answer your questions, and help connect you with other likeminded people.

Our first meet-up will be in LA on January 26th! If you are in LA, please come join us! We will be hanging out at the Arts District Brewery (which I love). You can meet both of us and our fabulous podcast producer, Ali. Hope to see you there!

More meet-ups will be planned throughout the year. We know we will do one in April when we are in Austin for the SIOP Conference (details to come). As we continue to plan 2020, we will add more meet-ups to our schedule. Join our email list if you are interested in learning more about our events as we get more details.

The Retreat

Our biggest and most exciting event launching this year is our retreat! We will be hosting our first retreat on April 18 – 19. We’ve already written a lot about the retreat so check that out here and here. Katina and I have been prepping and working hard to make this retreat as meaningful and helpful as possible. We want to give everyone some concrete tools to help them build the sustainable, healthy career of their dreams.

Also, if Philly in April doesn’t work for you, we might be bringing the retreat out west later in the year. Keep an eye out!

Next up, research to fill the gaps and help you more!

Research

In addition to ramping up events this year, we are planning to embark on a research quest! While we (Katina especially) already do research, we want to do something Workr Beeing specific. Obviously, everything we do here is research-based. We rely on research to inform the tips we provide and each of our podcast episodes. But, as we do all of these reviews and research for you, we see some clear gaps! We want to fill those gaps.

Workr Beeing is here to provide you with the best information possible to help you with your workplace wellness. In 2020, we will take it up a notch! While we may not have results to share this year, we will be doing the work in the background to get you those results as soon as possible!
